About Veiled Codex Press
A small press built around the reading experience.
Veiled Codex Press is a small independent press publishing early Christian texts, the apocrypha, and religious writings that history mostly left behind.
The editor
The person behind the press.
I’m the editor and publisher behind Veiled Codex Press. It grew out of a personal interest in early Christianity, the apocrypha, old manuscripts, and the history of books.
My goal is simple: take old and lesser-known texts and turn them into books people actually want to read.
Why Veiled Codex Press
Old writings, presented simply.
A codex is an early form of the book. The name Veiled Codex is about the kind of texts I’m drawn to: writings half-hidden by time, surviving only in fragments, or simply overlooked, that deserve to be read again.
Every edition is designed with the reader in mind: clean pages, wide margins, and clear headings, so you can focus on the text itself.
What matters
What goes into every edition.
Readable texts
Old writings, set in a format you can comfortably read for hours at a time.
Historical character
Respect the age of the material without turning every page into a museum display.
Unusual writings
Old, overlooked, and hard-to-find texts, collected in one place.
Quiet design
The design stays in the background and lets the words do the work.
“Careful presentation can make forgotten writings feel like books again.”Veiled Codex Press
