This policy explains what information Veiled Codex Press (“we,” “us”) collects when you visit veiledcodex.com, how it is used, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to a minimum.
Information collected when you browse
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site: for example, which pages are viewed, how long visits last, what type of device and browser are used, approximate location (city or region, not your exact address), and which website or social platform referred you. We also record when a buy button is clicked, so we can see which books and pages are most useful.
Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this information. It does not give us your name, email address, or payment details. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.
We also use the Pinterest tag, a small piece of code from Pinterest that records visits to our pages and clicks on buy buttons. This helps us measure whether our Pinterest posts and ads are useful and lets Pinterest show our books to people who have already visited the site. Pinterest may use cookies and information about your device and browsing on this site for this purpose. See Pinterest’s privacy policy at policy.pinterest.com/privacy-policy. You can limit ads based on your activity on other sites in your Pinterest account’s privacy settings.
Orders and payments
Books are sold, printed, and shipped through Lulu Direct. When you click a buy button, the cart and checkout are provided by Lulu, and payment is processed securely through Lulu’s payment partner. The name, shipping address, email, and payment information you enter at checkout are collected by Lulu to fulfill your order. We do not see or store your full payment card details.
Lulu handles this information under its own privacy policy, available at lulu.com/privacy. We may receive order details (such as your name, shipping address, and the books ordered) to help with customer service.
If you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and do not add you to any mailing list without your permission.
How information is used
We use the information above to operate and improve the website, understand which books and guides readers are interested in, respond to questions, and support orders. We do not sell your personal information.
Links to other sites
This site links to our pages on Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest, and to Lulu for checkout. Those services have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you block tracking by third-party sites. You can also opt out of Google Analytics on all websites by installing Google’s opt-out add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you; contact us at the address below.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes, for example if we add new tools or features. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
